A suer shot Debu and your title is pertinent. Many people in the world still do hard manual labour. When we were in Rajasthan recently we saw many brick kilns in action, with the bricks presumably made by many more of these young girls.

Great image Debu.
..makes you realise that perhaps when I come home & say bad day at work....should think what i could have been doing!

When we were in India last, we visited a Cashew Nut workplace..where all the girls shelled cashew nuts all day long..and had to dye their hands to stop the toxins from soaking into their bodies.

Sadlt, I only have these photos on film.

Beautiful image. A land of many cultures and expectations. Just the right shutter speed to detect the movement of the hand towards the brick mould. Good colour and lighting.
