I just love your MacCaw parrots. Your style has originality. There is nothing worse than a subject stuck in the middle of a picture. The originality in this says to me that these two are mates. So originality really is telling some kind of story from the picture. Well done. WesternRed.
Wonderful image, fabulous colours and excellent detail

Stunning portrait of these spectacular birds, Herman! Could you send some sun our way to cheer us all up in the UK?!

Hi Herman.
We have a blue and gold Macaw like these two, her name is Topaz and she is over thirty years old, I uploaded a photo of her in November 2011, so i am biased, I love these birds to pieces, great capture showing their wonderful colours.

Trev.

Very underexposed Herman. When you shoot into the sky, you need to over ride the cameras exposure by adding a +1, of a +2/3 exposure compensation so you dont run into this problem.
A smaller aperture would have rendered both birds sharp, rather than only the far one.
Ive uploaded a mod to show what I mean.
regards
Willie

two very handsome parrots, excellent colours.
Are they giving each other a scratch ![]()
Again, just lovely! and again, memories!! I met these McCaws when I lived in Bolivia, before coming to Germany, and I just fell in love with them!
Thank you for bringing them back ![]()
