Joining in the fun idea that Pareen started where members post an old picture of themselves circa 1970s.

This one was taken in my early days of photography around 1974. I used my brother's Pentax Spotmatic S1a and it was mounted on a tripod. Self-timer shot in the back garden of my parents council house in Wisewood. I developed the film. The jumper was knitted by my mum, the iron milk bottle holder on the wall was made by my mum, I was made by my mum.

I thought I was cool with the five shilling shades. Looking back now makes me appreciate the private yacht, Ferrari, helicopter and penthouse apartment in Manton.

I love this shot, Pete. Pareen really started a fun thread.
By the way -- you asked if we would be interested in a new category on ePhotozine for vintage/historical photos. I LOVE looking at stuff like that.
However, there already are so many sources for viewing historical photos that maybe a better idea is just to provide the links to vintage photos and generally restrict the ePz postings (with rare exceptions) to photos shot by members.
I'll start the ball rolling. Here is a link from the US Library of Congress. They are moving a lot of their best stuff to FLICKr.

PS I really like ePhotozine. Thanks for all your hard work.
