It'll probably be the most expensive toy of kids Christmas wish list this year.

it's hard to look along the London skyline these days without your view being dominated by a mass of cranes and building work, and whilst the new buildings create their own architectural image and are needed to modernise I can't help but notice how the historic architecture of London seems to be hidden more and more from view. That's what I've attempted to show here with Tower Bridge a distant sideshow and the Tower of London hidden entirely from view. I desaturated the image in CS2 as the morning sun seemed to give too much warmth to the tones and colours of the building which went against the coldness I was trying to portray.

All comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated, view large if you have the time.

I totally agree with you and sadly its not just London, I live in the Potteries and the demise of the pottery industry has led to lots of beautiful old buildings being demolished and the land used to build shopping centres and houses no bigger than a dog kennels, its even got to the point where house building is now eating into the greenbelt areas. Anyway enough said...
Superbly worked shot, well captured...
