Nice poem and nice shot, Dave: up here we have snow today so I guess a lot of the spring blooms will not survive. Forsythia is not an easy shrub to capture well and I have never managed a satisfactory shot yet, but this one of yours is really very nicely captured.
Ronnie.

Hi Carol, yes it's in my garden. 2 years ago when I moved here the garden was 4ft high throughout with brambles and nettles and a hedge that had turned into small trees (...), and during 6 months of proverbially 'getting stuck in', this dear little Forsythia appeared from 'nowhere' under very overgrown Laurel branches. Last year I think it was a bit confused having so much light for the first time, but this year it is really beautiful. It's only a small garden but the lady who was here before me had stocked it with lovely things (like Siberian Squill, which I'd never seen or heard of before in the previous pictures), and a large Camelia which is just starting to flower today. It didn't like being cut back last year, but this year it has about 300 buds on it! I hope we don't get a heavy frost again, as that will knock it for six, but I don't think so down here. Touch wood (or leaves).
Dave.

With heron pictures like yours, Ann, I reckon knitting is for 30 years time! That recent EPZ heron portrait is just...well...awesome plus!

We have that here too, Dave, and it's beginning to be seen finally. What a cheery photo with all that warm yellow. I had to laugh at the poem - that's so funny!
