Due to the appalling weather we have had recently, I am having to resort to trawling through my archives for something to upload. I came across this one of a butterfly that I took back in the summer. I was trying to get a close-up of the flower that you can just see beneath him, but he decided that he would like to settle on it first, so I quickly took a shot of him. Today the sun is shining, so I hope I can get out and find some inspiration!

A gorgous Blue (I think it's a Holly Blue), it's not often we get to see the Blues with their wings open like this. I hope we get to see more this year then last!!

Good morning Carol,
Different, no flower, but just as clear and detailed. Allover spot sharp, the bud as well as all those little hair - very, very good image.

Great shot with lovely colouring; slight shame that the near wing obscures the head but the clarity is superb showing all the delicate details
