I'd headed up towards the Roaches where there was a bit of snow lying on the ground and went for a sunset afterglow shot at Mermaid Pool. As I'm taking a few shots, this couple leave their car in wet suits, apologise for the fact they were going to disturb the water and head down to go for a swim! This was about as far as they got before heading back out, it must have been almost freezing - you can see some of the patches of ice at the edge of the pool. So for once the Mermaid Pool almost lived up to its name.

Excellent story and nice image which compliments it...the water was probably warmer anyway by a few degrees...probably Russian blooded! lol Smile
