This was the first frame of the day from yesterdays early morning visit to Mersea Island, Essex.

I liked the patterns and shapes of the london clay, and yes the moon was there.

Thanks for looking, any comments welcomed.

Some good light Clive and you have used it really well. It was a bit too clear wasnt it. This looks like East Mersea and if you keep walking you come across those posts that Ian has recently uploaded. You may have found them of course and will hit us with them another day.

Many thanks for all the comments, correct Dave I've got one or two others from further along the beach saved for a rainy day.

Works really well Clive. Considering their isn't actually very much in the scene your composition really makes the best of it. Colouration is suburb.

We were walking round West Mersey from about 10 till 2:00pm. I thought it might be worth an early start but ducked out in the end. Shane looks like it was worth it.

Simple and downright gorgeous, Clive. This is a treat for the eyes. Never has Mersea looked so like Mars.

beautiful Clive
The browns of the shoreline set against the pastel colours of the water and sky make it a quality image

A simple composition Clive, but non the less effective for that. Great stuff.

Hawk

Not many could make such a beautiful photograph out of mud. The colours and tones in the sea and particularly the sky are really beautiful and, for mud, the shapes are quite interesting. I like the overall warmth of this shot.

Phil.
