This was the first frame of the day from yesterdays early morning visit to Mersea Island, Essex.
I liked the patterns and shapes of the london clay, and yes the moon was there.
Thanks for looking, any comments welcomed.

Love the composition, and lots of detail even though its a simple land/sea scape.

great textures and colous in this
Fabulous colour and texture.
Love the subtle shades of amber and grey. Excellent.
Great light Clive, love the texture of the rocks and sea, the moon just finishes things of nicely
Lovely light and textures - Super.
Some good light Clive and you have used it really well. It was a bit too clear wasnt it. This looks like East Mersea and if you keep walking you come across those posts that Ian has recently uploaded. You may have found them of course and will hit us with them another day.
Many thanks for all the comments, correct Dave I've got one or two others from further along the beach saved for a rainy day.
Thanks again Clive
Beautiful tones and textures.
Works really well Clive. Considering their isn't actually very much in the scene your composition really makes the best of it. Colouration is suburb.
We were walking round West Mersey from about 10 till 2:00pm. I thought it might be worth an early start but ducked out in the end. Shane looks like it was worth it.
Thanks guys. Chris it was the simpleness that I liked when I came across this scene.
Well worth the early start Clive/great shot.
Wonderful comp and glorious light - good mixture that
What a beautiful seascape, love the low angel and the great composition. An inspiration for me
I think you have choosen here for a long exposere time, works really well.
Simple and downright gorgeous, Clive. This is a treat for the eyes. Never has Mersea looked so like Mars.
simple and superb for it.
The browns of the shoreline set against the pastel colours of the water and sky make it a quality image
Thanks again for the comments, much appreciated.
A simple composition Clive, but non the less effective for that. Great stuff.
Not many could make such a beautiful photograph out of mud. The colours and tones in the sea and particularly the sky are really beautiful and, for mud, the shapes are quite interesting. I like the overall warmth of this shot.
