I have just sat here looking at this for two minutes solid and just shaking my head Andy...
I would love to know how you achieve some aspects of your post-production work. That little pin-point of light of the right for example!!!
Mike
May be another lighthouse shot but this one is a little bit special.
Gareth
Many thanks folks,
@Mike i dont do anything special,
photo shot in Raw,
processed in C1 then onto photo shop for cropping, sharpening and border,
the bright light was just there, thats about it really.
Excellent again. Love the colours. You don't end up with a portfolio like yours by not doing 'anything special' Andy!

As usual I have got here when all has been said, but I don't like to 'click' without leaving a comment, so yet again very well done on a quality image! Love your work, look forward to the next one!
Damian.
Nicely done, the light glowing from the lighthouse works great to portray the symbol of the structure itself. A bastion in the night to support weary sailors. You detail and lighting is superb, this is much more apparent in the larger view. Excellent work! Spot on! click!!!
Greg
I still can't figure out how these lighthouses stand up to the ocean. In California they are on top of cliffs to avoid the pounding waves. So it is hard to get the water in the same shot as the lighthouse. BTW: Keith has been nailing people including me all day. Maybe we should make Keith a deal, I'll take shorter exposures of the water and you will stop posting these lighthouse shots if he will take lower quality photos thereby making at least me look a lot better!

Forget it! This is one of your best ones yet. I guess eventually I will come out of my lighthouse-induced fog, but not yet. And tomorrow, maybe I'll upload an 8 hour exposure that smoothes out even the tide itself. Well, maybe that is a bit hyperbolic...
Patrick
Hello Andy, on reading the forums I see this is frowned upon but once more, hence not hearing fom you in a while, and, this is not a lie, lol...good exposure on your lighthouse which makes it appear as if it is a dusky atmosphere. Have a good day.
Doug.
Beautiful work Andy.
I like your composition here and the lighting is great.

This is stunning Andy. All your uploads are great but I particularly love your "dark and moody" pics. Congratulations on the HC. click

You must have a lorry load of shots from this trip Andy. And from what Ive seen they are all exceptional. The warm yellow light gives this a great touch.
Adam.
Ah, a lighthouse....
a damn fine lighthouse!
and a damn fine photograph of a damn fine lighthouse!
Julian

This really is brilliant Andy. You really are the master of this type of shot
