Been laid up for the last week or so with flu–like symptoms suspiciously soon after receiving my flu jab (not a live vaccine so they tell me!), so my apologies for not keeping up with all your good work!
I felt I had spent enough time in bed, and set off to the edge of Dartmoor to get some Woodland shots in Carr Wood. Having done the complete 2 ¾ mile walk with no inspiration I headed off to Cadover Bridge to try and get some silky water shots as the conditions were overcast and perfect, but again didn’t even get my camera out of the bag.
Then I remembered that I had wished that I had my camera with me at Wembury Beach when I had been to a Family wedding near there recently. So off I headed, and this is one of the shots that I got. I did get more, but this one stood out when I was going through them.
The full title for the Mewstone is Great Mewstone Island which you can see on the horizon. It is an important site for cliff nesting seabirds.
I’ll attempt to click my way through the good stuff I’ve missed, there’s bound to be loads of ‘em, so please understand if I don’t comment!
Go on, Go LARGE!!!!!

I love this Paul. A very well thought out comp with a cracking sky!

Lots of impact and an excellent seascape.Glad you are better Paul.
Tom.
I think the flu story is a ploy to get the sympathy vote for this mediocre offering ![]()

Tremendous Paul, the shapes, tones and light really stand out.
This view is reminiscent for me as I was based at HMS Cambridge on the top of the hill overlooking this view. I spent 18 months based at the gunnery school there and this landscape of yours was a regular view for me. I was there 1984 to 1986, so I very much doubt its still operational or even standing, with MOD cutbacks etc.
Your right that surrounding coastline is spectacular with good lighting.
Thanks for the shot.

A classic shot of the South West Paul, you've done it proud. Excellent foreground detail and lovely colours. See you at work tomorrow.
