I have been waiting for ages to take photos of the Aurora Borealis and have been using websites such as Space Weather to try and get out at the right times.

I was out last night taking sample shots for the International Dark Sky Association when I noticed a green glow on the horizon. I was dead chuffed when I realised it was the Northern Lights.

A check of websites showed that the Aurora was visible into England last night.

Thanks,

Paul

A very magical feel about this image..
The colours and tones are great...
As it is in low light you done very well...
It the stars that have given this image extra life...
A am not sure but the grren could be Northern Lights...
