This Mini Cooper S was patked in a school car park. I prefer the classic version myself but thought this was a rtaher nice modern example. I dont know how to get rid of the other cars in the background so your hints and tips would be gratefully received. Thanks Clare

nice arrangment, have you thought about selecting the edges of the mini and bluring the background slightly, leaving the mini sharp.

The shot of the car looks like it suffered badly in the compression; a nice montage of the "interesting" bits though. (I too prefer the original Mini, I think of these as BMWs and wish they'd never used the name Mini, or Cooper for that matter.)

Hi, great photo, agree with loss of compression but bet the orignal looks great. A nice border would finish it off. With regards to the background on the mini, you could always cut it out and place it on another background instead or worrying about getting rid of the cars.

I agree, having just spent the best part of an afternoon removing background objects from a couple of my pics (2nd one being posted tomorrow) I think if the background is fiddly and complicated its easier to remove the main object and paste it onto another background, maybe a photo of the same carpark but empty. Still a nice montage though.

Removing/altering the background is a big subject and needs some practice. You should find it no problem, your work is very advanced for someone who has not had the camera for a long time. Well done, I look forward to seeing more.

Ron.

Thanks for all your comments. I am a little puzzled (and always have been ) as to why I should'nt show the number plate? I can understand the reasoning if it belonged to a celebrity but to Joe Bloggs? Am I missing something?
