An attempt to create a fake miniature with a tilt-shift lens effect in post-processing.
Please view large for the proper effect:
I've adapted it a bit for this horizontal POV, but a tutorial can be found here: Tilt Lens Effect Using Photoshop
#2 the original for comparison taken with a tripod at Iso 200, 35mm, f13, 1/3 sec
All comments welcome and thankyou for the feedback on the other shots from Avebury Stones

Sorry ... I just cant make up my mind which version I like !
Just for a moment - the twinkling of an eye, the snap of a shutter, even - I thought you were demonstrating the use of a Lensbaby in livestock photography ![]()
I do rather like your V1, as you might have guessed. Good title, too!
Bill
v1 is really a terrific and perfect depth of field effect, superb work...
A super composition Tim, and I really like the effect of V1, almost 3D.
Carol
Very clever, although you don't mention it this is as near as I've seen to a recreation of the Lensbaby effect. The feeling of dynamic blur converging on a sweet, bright calm centre. I particularly like the effect of n the stones, it enhances the impression of faces leaning together in conversation.

A fellow Camera Club member showed us this effect several weeks ago. He did explain how he did it, but it lost me a bit! A fine piece of work, Tim, nice to see the original also.

Love the miniature effect you've achieved here Tim.
(we went the week after the snow stopped...am guessing the sheep wern't quite ready to be out then!)

Very well achieved Tim, it really works well, clever stuff.
David
A tremendous image Tim, how on earth have you managed to get the sheep to co-operate again? Has the sheep whisperer epzer "Graceland" been imparting his knowledge on you!
