The monument in Brompton Cemetery to the General whose name is clearly visible in the picture.
If you can't work out from V1 what is missing, V2 might just help.
Fortunately for the General, he had plenty to spare; while someone, somewhere, has only got one ![]()

Very well spotted and Photographed Bill. Though I doubt it went missing in action.

is it just me, but I can spend hours in a cemetery just imagining lives now long gone from a few faded words
I think it is out of order here Bill with all the comments about the poor Generals missing bit of anatomy.
It is obvious they are his prize beetroots,(although the engraver has got the spelling wrong here. )
His wife must have sliced one up for his salad, but at the age of 70 years old,his loss was too painful to bear and he sadly passed away !!
Mick.
Well, I think it's just a load of old.....(cobblers' awls). Nicely observed Bill.

Well it can't have been taken by Ed the politician...he has no balls at all!
Did you remove the missing ball in order to create the shot, and then put it back afterwards? I often do that with offensive wheely bins and the like, but have never had to remove anyones balls before!
Malc
Nice capture, Bill - I have to confess I had to view V2 to see what was missing! ![]()

I wondered what that knob was in V1 - well, the place-holder for the missing item. Well, somewhere, someone... has one! ![]()

An excellent shot and great, fun commentary!
Carol
That must have been heavy for someone to carry home, but probably makes a nice garden feature somewhere.
You are on the ball today Bill and so are some of the epzers' going by their comments
