The Mistle Thrush ( turdus viscivorus)

Very attractive and rather proud looking bird seen whilst I was visiting Bushy Park for the autumn rut. Pity about the rather washed out sky; would have been nice to have had a spot of the blue stuff.
I hope you may like him.
Many thanks indeed for the great response to the rather grubby GSW in the previous posting. Much appreciated.

Ron

A very difficult exposure against the white sky Ron and you have done very well to minimize the aberation around the outlines
I like the way it is in the clear and showing enough against the perch of the oak.
Hope it does better than my recent Mistle Thrush Wink
Well done on the id matey, sorry couldn't resist, promise last joke about these
Richard

A fine shot of this alert looking bird, you've done really well considering the bad light and far from ideal weather conditions

What a beautiful bird the Thrush is. I live on the north east coast and recently we have had a thousand + Fieldfares and redwings just come in from Scandinavia, a sign of a bad winter
