A very early Stag shot from a distance at very high ISO. A pleasing result which was published in Canon's EOS quarterley Magazine to back up an article on high ISO shooting. This was with the 7D so cannot wait to try these with my 5D MkIII.
Many thanks to those who commented on yesterdays fungi upload and to Ron (Maiwand) for the User Award.

this is very well composed, very atmospheric and it reminds me of a song my grandma used to sing. About elks that come down to the dunes after sunset to gather in the moonlight. Your high Iso and bad light has added another charm to the photo, a soft dreamy character. But it is still as sharp as you could wish at 1/100s.
An image of exceptional quality which you must be immensely proud of no doubt
Sublime image. 'a pleasing result' is surely an understatement? This is a simply glorious lesson in composition and light manipulation.
