I took this on the Monday morning following the Pitlochry meet last November. I have already uploaded another shot of this boat in an orientation which I prefer (pointing more towards me). However, I prefer the visibility of the trees in this image.

A lovely pictorial image. I would be tempted to crop a bit off the bottom to create a letterbox image to balance the picture a little better. It's still very nice. Andy

Lovely mist and tones - like the letter box crop have you looked at one with the white bouys cloned out as at the moment they do draw the eyes away from the boat.
Good work.
Regards Richard.

This has been a very useful exercise. Thanks for the suggestion Richard. I had considered removing the dark bouy to the left, but not the white ones. I have now added another variant without any bouys, and I think it is an improvement.

Great shot, No. 3 is what I would have suggested having seen your first image and is my favorite. I'm always temped with shots like these to add a bit of warmth with the temperature control to give the illusion you've got up even earlier than you have already! Rich.

Nigel,
Wow! So many options! V4 is wonderful... could you clone out the trees? Wink Only kidding!

Fantastic image... I prefer V1 and V2, for different reasons. The crop makes it a different image to me.

Great shot, Nigel. It is difficult to know which version I like best, but on balance I think it must go to V 3 with the cropped image and the boats buoys cloned out. And yet on second thoughts, I do not find them distracting. Very difficult. But what a great image in the first place.
Ronnie.
