Misty Moody Monday Mourning

I chose to incorporate this image into my folio because it evokes so many emotions and memories. The autumn colours remind me that we are getting old, but at the same time the lichen covered headstones reinforce the importance of growing old. With age also comes wisdom and a whole maelstrom of problems. These may range from the everyday coughs and sneezes, to other more life changing conditions and illnesses. Throughout the past ten years I have suffered from two Acquired Brain Injuries, each resulting in its own difficulties. The last one taking place in November 2010. Since my second bleed I have through my photography and my creativity coupled with self determination, I have yet again turned a new leaf in the next Chapter of my life, hence why this particular image provides me with both confidence and the will to carry on against all the odds. The location of photograph is Fort Pitt Military Cemetery which is directly opposite my home in Rochester, so against all odds I shall not forget.
