One I never got round to uploading last year and found this morning. It was taken last year at the YSP meet on grass at the side of the road going down to the central building. There was a huge clump of shrooms, but a low angle and careful composition allowed me to isolate this one.

For one moment I was glad of the rain on what started out to be a very wet morning.

good viewpoint, I would of been tempted to lose that one blade of grass directly in front of the shroom

I particularly like the texture on the stalk, but the whole thing is good for me. klewis has suggested the only improvement. Now you just have to go back and wait for the rain again!

Love the DOF, but as already mentioned I may have been tempted to get rid of the blades of grass that are in the way

Thanks for the feedback. The shot was, for one of the few times, as taken, so I did no Photoshop work apart from convert the RAW file.

I've removed the grass stalk and placed a newer version in the mod section.

Good macro sharpness, but I find this shot is a bit busy and unbalanced.

I find the mod. version much easier to view,tidier..therefore the subject stands out better from the surroundings.
I like the capture of the raindrops very much, with nice dof.

Now just imagine how good it would have been if the droplet had an in-focus reflection of the clump of mushrooms Wink)

Wow, how it shines! Great rain drops, too. And I'm glad you kept a lot of grass in the shot, even in front of the subject - gives it a very natural feel.
