Sunrise lights up the Monastic City at Glendalough.

Glendalough in Co Wicklow is home to one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This early Christian monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the ‘Monastic City’.

The ‘City’ consists of a number of monastic remains, and the most impressive being the Round Tower which stands 30m high.

Thanks Smile
Gary

Could be me, but it looks a fraction 'hotter' than it does on FB? Still love the viewpoint though Gary!!!

Excellent light and the stones are arranged to there's enough of a line to lead you across the flow of water to the FP rather than out of frame with the water. I thinks it's a very effective comp and a great image!

Kpow and it hits you. A striking image with appealing saturated tones and strong composition and control of exposure.
