...this has been the BG image on my iPad for ages and I suddenly saw it as monochrome, so here it is. You know where it is and it; in winter.

You saw well... The detail and textures in those rocks are wonderful, b&w avoids any potential distractions.

A fine composition sever from you, Dougie, and the B and W presentation working so well with the large tonal and contrast range.
Ronnie.

Fascinating. The rocks, or some of them, seem to have metamorphosed, now looking quartz-like, brittle.
Or it could be my eyes, of course.

Very nicely suited to mono Dougie. Love the effect on the rocks and the ice in the water. Moira

I agree, this works very well as B&W. I like the light on the mountain and the ice in the river.

Now, this is a marvellous b&w image, Dougie. How very menacing and intimidating she appears.
The comp. and balance of the image are perfect in my humble opinion.

And how well it works in Mono Dougie. Superb from top to bottom. The light on the 'Buckle' is particularly nice.

Looks well in Mono Dougie, like the level of contrast it allows.
