I tried several texture with this one but not sure which I liked best,
so the choice is yours.I call these flowers Montbretia but recently I've
seen them or a variant called Crocosmia - so not sure of difference.
Thank you all very much for all the votes for recent flower images
and User Awards.
This is last of the last flower photo session.

All wonderful Kate - so beautiful. I think you have chosen the best version to lead with (in my opinion anyway!). Great texturing work - you are getting so good at this!
Carol

PS: by the way, I also call it Monbretia!

I've called it both over the years. I also think you've led with the strongest. I prefer this texture without the border. v2 looks very Japanese, and I'm not so keen on the last. Texture aside it's a lovely shaped image as well.

Oh I don't know I think number 2 is is my favourite, maybe the orange is a little in your face in that one, but I like the circles gives it a depth. Plus the almost paper effect at the edges. But all really nice

I prefer v3 with the border, then 1 and 2, but like Dave not to keen on 4. Great work again Kate!

V 1 and 3 are my favourites, Kate, but I'm afraid I am not too keen on V 4: always nice to see the work of others like yourself who have the ability to process images in this way........a skill that evades me.

All variants have that little bit of 'jena sa qua?", however from an aesthetic point of view variant number II is my particular favourite.

V2. for me has a slight edge but like them all, have this in my garden and only known it as crocosmia! I think some names very from region to region, nice presentation as usual, regards leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Its known as Crocosmia in my garden too Kate according to the label. They are all good but V1 gets my vote, I think this one is excellent. Your whole series of 'bottle' shots has been superb. I love your backgrounds.
