Early morning start on the Daintree River in Nth Queensland It was very dark cloudy and threatening rain Was not very ideal for bird photography
Processed a bit after Camera Raw with levels It was a spur of the moment hand held Just wondered if I could have something better with it

I appreciate your comments on conditions, but the image lacks decent lighting thus appearing very heavy and blue. It needed just a tiny bit of brightness somewhere to lift it.

With a tripod and a f16 or f22 aperture this would have had the making of a spectacular image. Still life does not always go the right way.You still have a very good record shot. I have in my mod tried to bring out some of the reflection. If it were possible you could re shoot, I am sure that you would end up with a shot to be proud of, For a hand held landscape in bad weather you have done well.Hope this helps.

The water line needs making horizontal. In the mod I changed the colour balance and tried to bring out more of the colour information in the photo. I increased the contrast as it's a little flat at the moment. I cloned out some of the marks or bits in the water and sharpened the photo.

If there was a boat in the right-hand area of the river then this would have elevated the shot and composition a great deal.

Alan.

The paintman mod is quite excellent. better than could have expected from this image. just shows what can be done - would have been very difficult in the wet darkroom.
