We had our normal pre-Christmas weekend in Southwold last weekend
.
This was at dusk on Saturday and the moon was shining bright. Unfortunately I didn't have my tripod with me so had to make do with setting the camera on the promenade and using the timer. Not as sharp as I would like but I will be interested to see what you think.
Thanks for looking.
Jason

The water and groynes are fine but I think the pier building does need to be pin sharp. Having said that, the lighting is good and a well balanced composition, and overall a very pleasing image.

Thanks Dave - I have to say that I agree with you. Teach me to carry my tripod won't it!

I like the balance of the different elements of White light captured![]()
wonderful moonlight atmosphere. the blue night, the festive pier are just delightful
methinks the opportunity was certainly to good to be missed, rather tremble slightly than miss a shot like that!
None of us likes taking our tripods, but using one does make a huge difference - as I know from bitter experience!
But this image has great atmosphere and a great composition Jason. I'd missed this when you posted it - don't know why - but I'm glad I found it!
