Taken a few minutes after sunset after a pre-Christmas snowfall. This amount of snow on the Fylde coast is a rare event, so always worth making the most of. This was one of those perfect evenings for photography - a clear day with some residual fog, beautiful sunset and the bonus of the full moon. The other 2 sails of the windmill were blown-off and damaged after an autumn storm.

Love the subtle pastel colours, a fine image.

This is a wonderful post and deserves a lot of attention imo. Lovely pastel hues, great clarity, a perfectly exposed full moon and a composition which, while not fully compliant with the notional rule of thirds, works perfectly all the same. Outstanding.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments and kind words. It's certainly a photo I'm pleased to have captured - with a combination of weather and light that doesn't come around too often, so feel lucky to have had the chance.

Andy.
