The same rose bud, shot indoors at the KS studio, with different cameras, with different lighting and at different times of the day: I wonder which works better, More or Less?

V 1: MORE.......Nikon D7000 in morning light.
V 2: LESS........Sony NEX-7 in afternoon light.

very difficult question, they both have their true merits. Both have excellent colours and detail
I feel slightly more attracted to the softer morning light and the complementary green. It makes the fine reds stand out even more.

And I do think the Nikon has the sharper detail,
but perhaps no surprises there !!

Going to say V1 Ronnie as the composition with the leaves included makes such
a beautiful capture, Like the light just coming through the rose petal

The inclusion of the foliage in V1 puts it in the lead Ronnie, although the light on the rose in V2 makes it a strong contender. Both are very lovely.

Amazing difference in the colour temperature Ronnie, I prefer the composition and the colour in V1.
It seems I have quite a way to go to catch up with the master of KS flower photography.

Has to be V1 for me Ronnie, both up to your usual quality standards, as stated the Nikon is sharper, but on flowers the softness works also, bit surprised on your choice of lens for the Nikon when you have that fantastic macro lens.

Very often I strip off leaves but in this case I'm with the majority
The light is more subtle also. A beautiful rose.

I prefer the bigger picture in v1, it looks more professional and you can tell that more thought has gone into producing this image. Not that there is anything wrong with v2 mind, it is nice in its own way
