Playing around with my 50mm Macro which was languishing in a drawer. I'd forgotten I'd got this lens till I read a review about the Canon 50mm 1.4 prime, then thought I'd dig out my old lens and give it a whirl. Think I've probably saved myself a bundle of money.

Anyway, not very interesting, I just enjoyed fiddling around.
1. The Fork in the caddy.
2. The Plate and Collander on Rack
3. The Tap from underneath against blue sky.

I'm trying hard to make them sound a bit arty but doubt if it'll work. Grin

Thanks for looking. Chris

A great set of abstracts. But with all the photography going on, did any dishes get washed? Smile

Superb graphics--especially v 2 and 1 . I am especially impressed with v2---it appears a simple image, but upon careful looking one sees something else--- splendid thinking and good use of that 50mm lens!

I particularly like version 2. This is actually something of an idea jerker for me because the combined efforts of people with surnames like Osborne and Gaddaffi have ensured that filling my car with diesel now costs an arm and a leg - and I only have two of each. My current ability to travel around in search of subjects is, thus, greatly curtailed. We should all take more notice of what is directly under our noses.

Lovely work - I've recently found myself wandering the house looking for photos no-one but another photographer would take...
I especially love V2 - perhaps we should collaborate and do an exhibition of plates ? Grin

I've got one ( Dinnertime ), and I'm sure I can find some more that would suit...

Great abstracts. Even a 50mm macro allows U a great deal of working distance in Ur EOS 400D.for a perfect maneuver.

Ah, think we're on the same wavelength. Smile I did some other shots of washing up a while ago but manipulated them quite a bit. These are straight shots except for a bit of levels. Amazing what you can come up with when you're bored and it's raining sheets outside.

V1 and V2 stand out for me - V1 for the incredibly shallow dof and V2 for its wonderful abstract quality.
