A fabulous, tender scene, of mother & baby. And that light!!
I'm sure it's the effects (flare?) of that wonderful light, but the rest of the scene could do with a contrast boost. There doesn't appear to be a true black.
All about light and shadows. Dave's comment above is interesting, I've been looking at this and wondering if I want more contrast, but I think this mimics quite well how my eyes see in strong sunlight. (I can just about remember that...)
