Good morning.....
A big thank you to you all for the magnificent response to yesterdays cheetah upload. Also a huge thank you to Lillian, Netta, Ade and Kathryn for their UA's
We always come across a lot of zebra, normally huddled together giving great photo opportunities. This day there was a mother feeding her foal. You will notice I had my lens on full zoom, our Ranger always allows the animal enough space to feel comfortable and never threatened, even so the mother had her eye on us constantly. It definitely has the cute factor.
TGIF.....have a good one GrinGrinGrin

Even with a decent zoom I think you have done very well to get this shot, Colleen.
I know they are very skittish - especially with young.
Interesting picture as well.

Once again a stunning natural wildlife image - the zoom has worked a treat
and it's good to know that the Rangers respect the animals for their sake and the safety
of visitors.
Can you imagine Lillian out there - the Rangers would have to hold her back!

We had question in last week's quiz night - are zebras white with black stripes, or black with white stripes? I immediately said white with black stripes (as their bellies and inner thighs are white), but the answer given was the other way round! Looking it up on the internet, the answer's debatable, as if you shaved one it would be black underneath, therefore the stripes are white! I still say I'm correct....Sad
Anyway, Colleen, this is a super capture, and definitely has the 'aaah' factor Smile

It's all black and white with no grey areas as far as I am concerned. However there is one thing that I am confident about and that is the quality of this wonderful maternal composition. A real pleasure to both witness and comment upon Colleen
