Here is one of the last critters of the year, one from the mozzie lake ... It is the other type of moth even I can spot, they make a lot of noise ![]()
If you get bored with them let me know please.
A Hummingbird hawk moth is doing the rounds, from the side they really look like a humming bird I think.

Brilliant timing to catch its whirring wings, you get a marvellous feeling of motion looking at these. I did not see a single hummingbird hawkmoth this year, there were quite a few around last autumn
