Well this is it, despite what I said yesterday, this really is the last image of my pet Garden Spider, Mr Creeps.......I've had a fairly sleepless night and had bugger all else to do, so I spent it all cleaning up this very last 65 image stack. I quite like this last one though as it shows off the cross on his thorax somewhat better than my last uploads, I've also given the image a square crop as it just seems to work better. V2 shows the same spider only captured from the rear.

Right I'm off back to bed to try and catch up with a little shut-eye, chance would be a fine thing, God it's hell sometimes being a habitual insomniac, but we'll try regardless....Catch up with everyone later....

Ade

Hedgehog Update
An awful night's weather put paid to a lot of the usual activity, but I still managed to record 3.5hours of action out of 12 hours of darkness, so they're still fairly busy fattening themselves up for hibernation. I have a couple in the nest boxes today, so if you want to steal a wee peek, you know where to go; Grin

Oh come on Ade, you should know by now that this is Mrs Creeps. She ate her husband after mating. She's gorgeous (and very sensible) and beautifully portrayed here.

Think you might have valid point Lynne, I know very little about spiders.....So I'm not sure if this species is cannibalistic Tongue So ok, Mrs Creeps Wink

Whether Mrs. or Mrs. Creeps, it's a fab image, Ade: never seen such extraordinary detail, this stacking method working miraculously well in your capable hands.

Staggering set of images Ade. The detail is incredible. Much like your moth images it gives a really quite unique view of a common subject. Normally macro shooters wouldn't shoot subjects at these angles due to the tiny depth of field making most of the subject a blur with a straight shot, but with these huge image stacks (65 images - you really should try and sleep more!) you are able to show off these subjects to their best in superb detail.

Keep em coming!!!

Great image Ade. You'll upset Darryl. Wink

Perhaps as well as having a check box for adult content they should also have one for arachnid content so that the squeamish can opt out. Smile

Considering the size of the spider (yes I know it's cropped) the eyes are very small in comparison and very low down but I guess looking at us mortals our eyes are high up! Nature is indeed a wonderful thing, superb detail and shot

I like the idea of a "Creepy" category, like the "Adult" one, so that the squeamish don't have to view themTongue!
Anyway, fine work again, Ade.
The night before last I was intrigued by Mr. Creeps making his web across your garden camera lens, despite the strong wind and rain.
