A flock of starlings ..must be 20000 of them put on a 20 minute flying display.
What an awesome sight
Marvelloue spectacle....nicely caught. Phil.
We can see the swirl and surge of the movement without seeing the individual birds - that's interesting. They really are like a cloud.
Have you come across rontear's starling shots? You might find them interesting.
A stunning sight, Dan, and so very well captured, a fine image. Carol
a smasher love it lots Danny
A wonderful sight to see. Thanks for sharing.
I would simply LOVE to see them doing this I really would - you lucky chap but a very well observed and captured picture
Something I really enjoy seeing. Amazing
Like your shutter speed selection with this one Danny, real shows the movement of these well.
It is an amazing sight ~ I have seen their display at Aberystwyth which was featured on Autumnwatch last week.
Wow! and Whoosh!!
Danny your counting is remarkable and at your age too. Nice capture of one of Nature's great shows.
I bet they were noisy too, Danny what an incredible shot
A lovely capture
Wonderful image! Excellent shot.
It's an amazing sight, Danny, and an amazing sound too. This is very impressionist, and an impression is what one gets: perfectly captured. I just wish the blighters would keep away from the bird feeders in our garden.
Nice one....used to see this ( slightly less birds) every evening around Birmingham...amazing sight.
As an image I would have liked to see the bottom of the tree...slight niggle only.
p.s.Murmuration...should be BLURmuration...lol
Amazing capture - well done Dan !
(Thanks for yesterday's offer lol )
This is fantastic Dan.
I sat for ages with a large group of other hopefuls the other day and our starlings just dropped out of the sky and straight into the reed bad. Noisy but not too spectacular. You were certainly luckier than I... Dave
love it.... what a great sight this was a feature on Autumn watch too but not such a great spectacle as this one
This is such an interesting and well done record of one of the little miracles of nature. Excellent shot.
Great capture Dan
Such a great capture Danny. A sight to see that's for sure.

I agree entirely. Sylvia
Amazing capture, Patti
I will bet you 2 quid Danny there is not 20,000 there !!
In fact I reckon you are chancing your arm here.I reckon it is your thumb print.I can soon find out.My brother in law is a policeman and he has confirmed all my prints are in their collection !!
OK then,I will take your word for it.At least I can say I have seen 20,000 birds today !!
The art of flight, well taken , not easy
Wow what a brill shot excellent .
Cracking shot, the motion really works well against the static tree.
