Well as a few others have posted images of their pets recently I thought I'd show off my baby. This is Cassie my 11 year old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and my devoted companion. She's absolutely bonkers mad a little like the owner. But unforunatley is currently on curfew and not allowed any walkies, the reason being she's been a little ill of late with heart problems and fluid on the lungs. This has mean't she has to go on tablets for the rest of her days, but we'll find out tonight at the vets if she has made any improvement and whether or not she allowed to have her walks again.......I do hope so as she's been going absolutely even more mental not being allowed out. Never mind, hopefully she's now on the mend.....
I suppose that's the problem with pets, you have to prepare for the large vets bills especially with pedigree animals. But this little girl is so devoted it's going to tear me apart when we lose her, just hope she has a few years left, because she's such a character and so good natured......
Anyway enough enough of my waffling, hope you enjoy the shot and many thanks to everyone for their kind and positive comments on yesterday's upload....
Regards....Ade

What a darling little face, so expressive. I do hope the medications will make her a new and healthy woman, like so many of my friends. And...if she doesn't walk you probably don't walk as much either. They do keep us healthy too besides being such devoted friends............Sandy
what a gorgeous Cav she is Ade, she looks like she is so happy to pose for you unlike mine (Beau) who is 11 this July. I hope the results at the vets are good news for you and she can have more enjoyable times with you. I was devastated when I lost Beau's sister last year and beau was not himself but seems to have got over it now good luck at the vets
Neil
A fine portrait of your beloved canine companion, I hope your trip to the vets goes well and she is out and about accompanying you on some long walks before too long, Ed
What a sad read .... we lost our "baby" (Bonnie) and it was the worst week and some that I have ever eperienced
My best wishes are with you x
and what a cutie your baby is ....
Just got back from the vets and am pleased to report she has improved and is now allowed her walkies, albeit only short ones for the next week or so. She's still going to be on a load of drugs for the time being, but we'll manage that, we've never had a problem giving her pills though. So, the prognosis looks fairly good thankfully and were hoping we'll still have a few more years out the old girl. As you might imagine I'm very relieved.....Thanks to everyone for their good wishes, I know it's only a dog, but she's my dog and I love her to bits.
Ade
We have had some heartache over losing dogs Ade so I know where you are coming from but still have lovely memories of the happiness they brought to us.
A super image, beautiful detail, beautiful dog mate and hope it's good news from the vet,
Regards,
Geoff.

Your wrong Ade, it's your best buddy and companion the one that will love you in your worst times, also trust you with her life.We had a dog who started on heart tablets early in life and lived to be 17yrs, I hope you have many years to come.

I second this statement, typical King Charles appealing look about Cassie at the grand age of 11 she is seemingly doing well, probably from the love and attention you give and in human terms thats surely 77 which is pretty damn good I would say
gosh just had a thought! not far from my own age![]()
Glad to read of the improvement in Cassie's condition: she looks a real wee pet and certainly not her age.
I know how hard it is when pets get I'll......my daughter's greyhound Mac has been diagnosed with a tumour in a shoulder bone and we just don't know how long he has left.
Hopefully Cassie's will continue to enjoy life and walkies for some time yet.
Ronnie.
A real cutie Ade, they are members of the family.
Regards
Trev.
Do hope that you and Cassie managed a small walk this evening after the vet's...and so pleased that it is better news
The animals in our lives are part of the family and no matter the cost we alway's find a way to meet it..
My one eyed cat I put on last week also called Cassie, sneezes due to half formed nose
and guess how I put my back out??
cleaning the walls she covered in ...you know what!!![]()
but still love her
Oh Ade...love the portrait too a real beauty as she is
Lillian
Its so nice having devoted animals but awful when we lose them but I hope Cassie has a few more years in her, I had a dog on heart and water tablets and he lasted 5 more years so lets hope for the best for your little one, I almost forgot to say what a lovely image this is Ade. - gary
