Another from my holiday in Cape Cod last month, this time the Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis). Common in brushy wooded undergrowth, often in damp shaded areas. The only grey East North American bird with overall slaty grey plumage and blackish cap. Forages for insects, berries and invertebrates. The call can be just like a mewing cat. These are real posers - just like our Robins!
