sCAMP MY BEST BUDY WAS PUT TO SLEEP IN DEC 09 A WEEK BEFORE XMAS. iM JUST PUTTING THIS UP BECAUSE I LOST MY BEST BUDDY IN THE WORLD.

I have done what mostly other men do
and pushed it out of my mind
but i cant forget if I wanted to
four feet trotting behind

Day after day the whole day through
where ever my road inclined
four feet said, I am coming with you
and trotted along behind

Now I must go by some other round
which I shall never find
somewhere that does not carry the sound
of four feet trotting behind.

What fantastic words, brought a lump to my throat. A beautiful image of your very best friend, who no doubt has left you with some wonderful memories. Carol

Awe, this had me in tears remembering the last much beloved dog that I had to take to the vet for a dignified exit when life was no longer a joy to him. It breaks your heart doesn't it? This is a lovely reminder of the wonderful times you had together.

Take my advice - get another dog ASAP. We have two now. They will never replace Be-Bop but they fill the space in my heart that his departure left vacant.

A lovely tribute and reminder of Scamp. Lynne is right, get another dog ASAP - it won't replace Scamp but it will soon create it's own place in your affections.

My lovely old afghan has just been diagnosed with cancer - the poem made me weep so much but I thank you for it.

they do become such an important part of the family and break your heart when you lose them. Nice tribute to him

Such a sad poem, I feel for you as I, like many others have been there and also know it wont be too long before I am there again as My Oliver is 10.
You have posted a lovely characterful shot of Scamp and done him proud. Ann

So sad when you lose your best friend. I have lost 2 dogs over the years + my lovely 19 year old cat Panther last Thursday. I am at that time again with my 13 year old Golden Retriever, Poppy. Sad
This is a lovely photo of Scamp Smile

I had to have my 27 year old horse put down last summer and it was the very hardest thing I had ever gone through. I'd had him since he was 4 and taught him everything. He was my best mate. I just wish I had taken more photos of him in the last couple of years. Fortunately I did find 2 on my phone and the 3.2meg camera in it did a good job. They were taken in May, only three months before he died, and for that reason I'll treasure them the most. Lovely photo of Scamp and lovely poem. Take care.

It breaks your heart losing a best friend in an animal who trusted you. I hope things ease with time. Been there, know the awful heartache. X
