I didn't go crashing through the undergrowth or wading through the bog to get close to this.....I cheated and used a long lens.
Maybe if I HAD gone closer I would have got a better shot

Roy you are getting the hang of this
Yup, agree with Petra ... looks good Roy.
It probably would have been better if I had taken my tripod that morning
hand held 1/25th @ f5.6 @ 300mm
Original now in mod section
Looks good without wellies or tripod..
A lovely soft landscape image. Well captured.
Well composed and exposed. I like the use of a limited range of colours which harmonise so well together.
Nice work. Love it.
So much to see and so little time! Nicely done Roy, lovely muted colours and a great reflection.
Some people go to a lot of effort in p/s to get that slightly blurred, hand held look! It actually works really quite well here - gives it a soft, ghostly look.

You learn fast!!!
Anyway, I like this soft treatment you've used.
I might learn fast Teresa....but putting it into action is a different matter.
Thanks to everyone
Yes, the soft treatment works well. Pleasing image.
Has a rather soft look that works well with this shot. Nicely done.
The soft look is effective, here. I am wondering whether this is a lttle too close, as a slightly wider view would perhaps make a little more of the reflection.
Another fantatic capture Roy!
Like it, soft and ethereal. You could have got closer/used a tripod etc...but then that would have been a different picture! - regards Robin
Irrespective of how you got there Roy you have captured the magic in a delightful way.
Really nice image Roy, peaceful and eye pleasing.
Beautifully Stunning Roy.
Dreamy and beautiful.
Wonderful atmosphere you've created on here.
