Variation on two of my tulip images from a while ago. I hadn't tried this tulip in colour yet, and I also hadn't given it this art paper background yet - so here it is!

Let me know what you think of it - comments and mods welcome, as always!

Thanks for looking...

Love the tulip, but not so keen on the background in this instance.

But then given the comment above each to their own Smile

Not sure what bg I would prefer, just that the detail in this one competes a bit for attention.

I like the shape of the stem and how it takes you into the image

Well, as Cheryl says, each to their own. I did actually make the background quite a bit vaguer than in the one you, Cole, called "very nice" and the one that didn't make Cheryl object to the background. For some reason it didn't seem to be a problem there, so that makes me wonder why it is a problem when I make it vaguer, exactly to prevent this kind of objections. Strange. Puzzles me.

But thanks for the comments. They're intriguing enough to have another good think about the whole thing.

Oh, and Cheryl, did you notice the "more pronounced curve"? Not precisely as you described it, but close, I think. (I'm not good enough at using the transform tool yet, but I hope to improve...)

actually compared to that one, I prefer this one. I said sort of, as I wasn't sure, TBH. But now looking back to that previous one, I personally prefer this one...Smile

He didn't like the first version, and his preferences regarding flower shots are a lot like Cheryl's, so...

On second thought, I suppose he likes to make a fool of people who say things like that, judging from his click. Smile
