Further experiment in creating a background. I had intended it to be darker, but found (again) that the darker the bg, the less satisfactory the blending. This is the Darken mode but at reduced opacity.

A beautifully photographed floral display, the yellow being wonderfully crisp and fresh against the textured backdrop. The choice of vase being not only a wise choice but so very beautiful and complementary.

Much better Fiona,nice blend with the bg.
Good colours,lovely vase.
I think you need just a wee bit more of a shadow on the base to ground this image better & perhaps a tiny vignette to draw the eye to the flowers...I'll try a mod Wink

Cheers Janet. Your mod is so much better. It is much nearer what I had imagined, so why didn't I think to darken the whole thing?? Sigh.......
These mods are SO USEFUL because I can improve the image for printing as cards. Much appreciated as ever. F
