Neidpath Castle taken on a walk along the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders.
Many thanks to all who voted or commented on Daffodil Path and good suggestion of a square crop from mrswoolybill and LynneJoyce.
Hope you're all well wherever you are.

What a wonderful sweep to the hillside, and the curve of the tree, all leading to the castle at the top. A super composition and capture, Kate. Carol

That's a fine shot of Neidpath Castle, Kate, and a castle that I have never managed to capture to my satisfaction.

You have composed this to perfection, showing off the castle so well. I really like the bent tree in the foreground, it is a fabulous way to lead the eye into the photo.

Great pov and capture of this brooding castle under a louring sky, Kate. I wonder what a closer crop would be like.

Kate, I like this a lot, and I'm delighted that I may be #30! One question, have you sharpened this? It feels as though it's just too much that way inclined... but that's just me!

What a lovely place!

an inspiring composition.. full of wisdom.. giving little to the castle and much to the surroundings.. which makes it so very 'heritage'.. the plants and the castles go very well together.. i love everything about it..
