I am not sure wether the Gannet is building or feeding. He has a large chunk of seaweed in his beak.I took this on Irelands eye a mile of Howth Harbour.Considering todays rain and yesterdays sun burn we picked the right day.Hundreds of birds hundreds of images and I'm hoping for some good keepers.
A great day,out of nesting season so no attacks.A lot of climbing, catching breath and admiring the wonderful views from this Island.

If visiting Dublin and your interested in visiting the island. It is very accessible from Howth harbour.I think its two companies operate ferries daily from the east peir.15 euro return. A little steep but the day was so well enjoyed I can get over it.
More to follow.

There is something wondrous about flight and the way the birds us the wind and thermals to the best of their abilities. Amazing to see them from above instead of looking up.

Have a great week end,

Aidan,,

Great POV Aidan and a lovely image.
Looking forward to seeing more of these.
I haven't taken a decent bird image lately at all.
