This is a wild and rather shy bird and I saw this one on a nest in Glen Farrar in the Highlands of Scotland. A friend very kindly lent me his 600mm lens plus converter otherwise I could not have got near enough to take this shot. Only 3 to 7 wild pairs breed in the UK annually. How lucky was I to come across this swan on her nest! Ann.

The nest, the bird and the tree, an excellent combination, Ann, and a nicely diffused background too.
