Bridge to the Hepworth Gallery
The bridge is around 50m long and weighs 85 tonnes. It was winched into place by a special 50m high crane – one of only three 1000 tonne telescopic jib cranes currently working in the UK. The bridge is the second to be installed in Wakefield district this year, following on from the new Castleford Bridge this summer.

Super light and colours. Great reflections and overall a strong image...Phil
Great pov chosen for this image, the red bouys provide a counterpoint for all the blues and greens!

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said?
Wonderful image - wasn't sure about the crane behind the willow tree, but when I read your write up about the cranes lifting the bridge into place, it seemed rather fitting!
