A new rose, which has finally opened. Not that sure I like the rose its a new one purchased earlier this year whilst the colour is quite nice it is a tad featureless. This shot i quite like due to the contrast of the yellow to the stems and buds.

Many thanks to all who once again took time to make comment on the last rose upload. I think I have now answered all who wanted more info, if not PM me. WinkWink

Lovely fresh rose which as you say contrasts well with the darker buds, stems and leaves, Graham: very nicely captured and presented, and of course V 2 and 3 provide my daily chuckle. Going back to the rose, it looks as if there is good contrasting colour in the stamens.......do you know what variety it is......looks a wee bit like 'Arthur Bell', certainly one of the floribunda varieties.
Ronnie.

Such a lovely sunny colour and exactly what we need with all the grey clouds and rain here today. Good comp and lovely light in this image. Bet you grow to like this new Rose not least if it stands up to really wet weather!

I can see what you mean Graham, the rose looks a little untidy, not nice and tight like a lot of them but a beautiful colour nonetheless.

The two funnies made me painfully smile, just what I needed, a pick me up
