The pond I have had in the garden for over 20 years does not have frogs anymore as there are so many fish all the tadpoles get eaten.
2 years ago I dug another next to it for wildlife but have had trouble with it leaking so I have to keep topping it up with water from the old one all the time .Even all this rain does not keep the level up - but yesterday after it's usual top up we spotted a lot of these 1/2 way froglets.
Some had "escaped" the pond and others were in amongst the boulders/rocks I have on the one side.
Taken hand held lying on the boulders (ouch).Just a crop and sharpen on these.......2 versions with one on a 5p coins a size comparison.
