I found this cricket in my garden this morning. At first I thought it had been caught by a spider, then realised it was shedding its skin.. I`ve never seen this before Smile
I dont know if its the same one as yesterday but she does have a leg missing
I`ve got a feeling the reason for the high number of legless bugs in my garden could be the fact that I have 2 cats and there are 2 cats next door.. maybe they have been playing cricket in my garden lol Smile
All one handed macro shots
Thanks for all the brilliant comments and all the clicks on yesterdays cricket, all very much appreciated xxxxxx

A superb set, Bun, I have spotted a grasshopper's skin, but never the actual shedding process, well spotted. Carol

Three tremendous images Bun, you've captured this extraordinary event so superbly on camera. This is something that most of us would never see, you must have the eyes of a hawk!

Now that's some SERIOUSLY awesome timing, Bun.

Fantastic shots and documentation here.

Oddly enough, my favourite is V5 Grin

I remain absolutely gobsmacked and intrigued by this series of images. The last one, with just the skin, is a perfect finish, so well captured, Bun.

Cracking good shots Bun.
Ron

V4 is a lovely shot but that is only because there is a little bit of colour in it. The rest are just as good but V4 stands out to me. Smile

Wow, this is apt for the National Geographic magazine! You should sell them to a glossy magazine!
