I think it's a cracking shot. North or South Bay? Only a couple of things I would have done with it - remove the seagull (?) above the surfer, and darken the silhoutte of the surfer (that's only a personal observation).

North Bay or South Bay?? its the side where the Spa is & the Cliff lifts are.

He had me looking for ages as well??? I could not see one either, but I must admit on the original photo shot directly into the sun there is a couple in the shot but I thought I got rid of them?

I like the format of this and its a cracking shot. was the surfer added as post processing or was he there?

v2 a lot better methinks. The "seagull" is the black mark/dot in the sky at the top of the pic above the surfer.
