Much better than the thumbnail suggests. I hope people take a look.

You should be very proud of this image. You have captured the atmosphere superbly.

Wonderfully atmospheric with great impact.

Wow. This is really good. =)

Wow, this is different.......glad I decided to take a closer look. Well done on capturing this moment.

Mavis is right about the thumbnail, it doesn't do the image justice. This really demands attention and thought. It draws the eye in and lets it wander, explore. There's a strange feeling to it - faces and hands floating in the smoke, no clear sense of distance - it could almost be a montage. I covet this one.

I see more and more in this each time I look at it. Well that's the week's first GEA sorted.

This is absolutely beautiful- you should enter it into the Guardian this week- the theme is 'layers'. I love this.

I personally like to experiement with light/smoke etc and this is just stunning. I am envious! What settings did you use for this pic?

Thanks very much for the comments, exposure details; f/7 at 1/160 and I compensated the exposure (down) by 3 stops to reduce the glare and soften the light.

Each person so into the moment. Such a sense of almost hysteria, but in a good way. Like they are seeing something so special. Wonderful capture..............Sandy
