Thought Christmas had come early when I saw the thumbnail Dan, super close up, excellent detail captured,
Fred.
Perfectly named, he reminds me of St Nicholas, Europe's pre-Coca-Cola version of Father Christmas.
Moira
Love the thought and humour in the titles, Danny. And another excellent character study.
Dave
Tsar Nicholas, especially with the braided headgear.
Bill
Wonderful b&w conversion and composition. The character and percieved wisdom of this gentleman is fantastic.

From a technical point of view, this portrait has a great deal to offer by hinging itself on background and foreground. The mass of hair is counterbalanced by the richness of the background while the focus on the eyes yields an almost surreal atmosphere to the portrait. Time at a standstill. Well done!
Tremendous character study Danny, a face to launch a thousand Christmas Cards.

BTW love what you've done here, keep trying new things my friend.![]()
A perfect marriage of subject and processing Dan.
Derek
Quote: You wont need your chimney swept for a while Danny,
when he comes down it with that beard !!
More hairs here than that burst mattress I saw at the docks recently !!
Good shot.
Mick.
It didn't stop you lying prostrate on it with Big Aggie.
Now that's a capture, what a portrait, good work again Danny.
John
Reminds me of the J K Rowlinson film and I can't remember the name! Great character shot
Ah, what a magical face to be privileged to photograph, Dan. This is superb.
I do find myself wondering how many birds are nesting hidden away in that tangled beard, though.![]()
Keep up the experiments on new things, they are so far working extremely well for you.
