A big thank you to Trev (achieverswales) for his UA, and to everyone else who voted and commented on yesterday's Marsh Fritillary, i really do appreciate all the feedback.

Another image from the recovered card for today, this time a pristine Niobe Fritillary. The sun was just poking through the trees behind me and i liked the way it shone on his tip of his antenna.

The colour of it's eyes match its perch. It must have known it was going to have its photo taken and chosen a comlimentary flower to settle on!

A fabulous close up of this fritillary Nigel, its eye is amazing and stands out far more than its wing colours and markings
