Just after a tropical down poor in Singapore Bird park I was totally drenched I noticed this bird was as wet as I was and took this photo I love the way the feathers looked

A decent and "different" shot of a bird. Arguably a little too central - but some cropping can take care of that.

It is a pity the background colour competes with the bird but there was not much you could do about that at the point of shooting. However, you could consider selectively darkening and desaturating so as to make the bird stand out more.

I have uploaded a mod for you which reflects my comments which I hope are helpful.
